We believe that every part of the chain has its uses and can make a valuable contribution. How can we try to play our part? By restoring used electronic equipment to its value and giving it a new home, or by converting it into new raw materials. And by working closely with partners who have the same aim. With these partners, we've worked out some great projects in which your company or organisation can get involved. Together, we help turn your old IT into a patch of valuable nature reserve, or ensure that your old computers end up with underprivileged children in Belgium.
Recycling for Natuurpunt
Trade in your old computer or mobile phone for a new patch of woodland in Flanders.
It’s currently estimated that only 1-2% of mobile phones are recycled or reused. For IT equipment the figure is 48%. We can do better!
In collaboration with Natuurpunt and Recupel, Out of Use organises a large-scale IT equipment collection campaign targeting businesses and organisations in Flanders. Do you have any mobiles, smartphones, tablets, laptops, computers or servers you no longer use? Donate them to Natuurpunt and support nature.
For every PC, laptop or server, Natuurpunt buys 2 m² of forest land to plant trees. But even 4 smartphones/mobile phones, tablets or hard drives are enough for 1 m² of newly planted forest land in Flanders.

Donate your reusable computers and smartphones to vulnerable people.
Are there any laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones or screens lying around in your company that are not all that old but are no longer in use? Would you like to help close the digital gap in Belgium, while complying with the WEEE legislation and remaining GDPR-proof? Together we can achieve that!
Out of Use works with the non-profit association Circular.brussels, which can offer these devices, after certified data destruction, to schools or poverty organisations within its network in an accessible way, with service and guarantee.
We don’t do it alone. They are there for you too.
Wherever possible, we are happy to work with sheltered and social workshops.
This cooperation enables us to give work to people who cannot easily find a place in the 'regular' employment circuit.
As a customer of Out Of Use, you play an active part in the employment of these people. What is more, they do this work very well.
How exactly does this work? We provide them with viable dismantling tasks with well-defined guidelines and a clear task order. In turn, they ensure high-quality processing and performance.
