JOB VACANCY: RECYCLING OPERATOR

As a recycling operator, you’ll work alongside the rest of our team to ensure electronic waste is correctly sorted and dismantled.
In some cases, you’ll need to move loads manually.
Your responsibilities will include, amongst other things:
Scanning roll containers, plastic bins and other containers into our computer programme
The accurate sorting of categories of IT equipment such as mobile phones, PCs, servers and other electronic and electrical appliances
Identifying opportunities for the reuse of devices to give them a second life
The destruction of data storage media such as hard drives and tapes using a variety of methods
Carrying out dismantling work at large and small data centres on-site at clients’ premises

You can work both independently and as part of a team
You are punctual, quality-conscious and organised
You know how to use machinery, equipment, tools, personal protective equipment, hazardous products, etc. correctly

A full-time role (7.30 am–4.30 pm, Fridays 7.30 am–2 pm) where you’ll play an active part in creating a more sustainable world

Out of Use is an environmental company specialising in the reuse and recycling of materials. Through the sustainable use of materials and raw materials, future generations will be able to continue to enjoy our planet just as we do. Sustainability is therefore central to all our activities.
Our focus is primarily on IT equipment: 30 per cent of the products we collect are given a new lease of life through reuse. As much as 90 per cent of non-reusable e-waste is recycled into secondary raw materials. In addition, Out of Use also specialises in data destruction and the dismantling of data centres. Since 2019, we have also offered a specific service for the automotive sector: we specialise in the collection and dismantling of airbags and batteries from electric vehicles.
