Job vacancy: Process Engineer – ERP & Digital Transformation
Location: Beringen | Full-time | Mid-career
Help us build the processes and systems that drive our growth!
Out of Use gives discarded technology a new lease of life. We help businesses and organisations maximise the value of their used electronics through reuse, remarketing and high-quality recycling.
Our organisation is growing, our activities are becoming more complex and our ambitions are expanding. That is why we also want to further professionalise and digitise the way we work.
We are looking for a Process Engineer – ERP & Digital Transformation who will play a key role in this next step within our Innovation Team.
Your first major challenge?
The selection and implementation of a new ERP system for Out of Use.
Job description
You will lead our ERP project
The selection and implementation of a new ERP system will be one of the most important internal projects in the coming years. You will play a central role in this.
You will identify the needs of the various departments, translate these into clear functional requirements and help us determine which ERP system best suits our organisation.
You will then oversee the implementation from start to finish. You will monitor the scope, timing and priorities, coordinate internal stakeholders and external implementation partners, and ensure that the new system actually works for the people who will be using it.
You’ll improve our processes
You’ll take a critical look at how we work today and constantly seek ways to make processes simpler, more efficient and more scalable.
You’ll map out processes, identify bottlenecks and translate improvements into concrete workflows and work instructions. In doing so, you’ll work across divisions: from Operations and Finance to Sales, Customer Service and other support teams.
You’ll also ensure that key processes are properly documented and safeguarded.
You’ll put technology and AI into practice
For us, digitalisation doesn’t stop at an ERP system. We want to actively explore how AI, automation and new digital tools can make our organisation smarter.
You don’t need to be an AI developer. Above all, we’re looking for someone who is curious about new technology, can spot opportunities and enjoys experimenting with practical applications that save time, improve quality or create new possibilities.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a mid-career professional who can bring together technology, processes and people.
Ideally, you will have:
- A master’s or bachelor’s degree in a technical, economic or business-related field
- Several years’ relevant experience in process engineering, business analysis, ERP, digital transformation or operational excellence
- Experience in project management and leading projects independently
- Experience with ERP selection or implementation is a strong asset
- Strong analytical skills: you quickly grasp how processes, systems and data are interlinked
- The ability to translate business needs into concrete processes and system requirements
- An interest in AI, automation and digital innovation
- A pragmatic approach: you don’t just analyse, but also ensure that initiatives are implemented
- Good communication skills and the ability to engage various stakeholders in the change process
Where will you end up?
You’ll be part of Out of Use’s Innovation Team, but your remit will cover the entire organisation.
This means you won’t be looking at processes from the perspective of a single department. You’ll work alongside colleagues from various divisions and gain an insight into virtually all the key processes within the company.
You’ll be given a great deal of responsibility and the freedom to steer projects in the direction you see fit. You won’t be joining an environment where all processes and systems are already set in stone: you’ll help to design them.
What do we offer?
- A key role in the further professionalisation and digitalisation of a growing Belgian circular economy company
- A major ERP project for which you will take ownership from selection through to implementation
- A high degree of autonomy and a direct impact on how our organisation operates
- A cross-functional role offering plenty of variety
- Opportunities to explore and actively implement new technologies and AI applications
- A competitive salary package tailored to your experience, supplemented by:
- Meal vouchers and eco-vouchers
- A CAO90 bonus
- Group and hospitalisation insurance
- 20 days’ annual leave and 12 days’ additional leave
- Staff discount in our online shop
Are you ready to help build the digital foundation for Out of Use’s next phase of growth?
Then we would love to meet you!
