JOB VACANCY: Lorry Driver C(E)

As a lorry driver, you’ll first and foremost be the face of Out of Use to our customers. As the face and representative of Out of Use, you’ll be responsible for delivering containers and collecting goods from our customers. This means every day is varied, with plenty of contact with customers and their staff.

• Safely transporting materials to and from the customer
• Loading and unloading lorries
• You will use handling equipment to facilitate loading and unloading. In some cases, you will need to move loads manually and assist the customer with loading the containers.
• Keeping the lorries tidy (inside and out)
• You will mainly be working on the road, supported by colleagues in Beringen.
• You will generally work from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm; and on Fridays from 7.30 am to 2 pm. This means the weekend starts a little earlier every week 😊. Please bear in mind, however, that you will occasionally need to leave earlier and sometimes arrive later. An overnight stay may be required from time to time.

In addition, when time and the schedule allow, you’ll help your colleagues with their tasks at the warehouse in Beringen.

• You are keen to help build a more sustainable world and contribute to the growth of Out Of Use as an environmental company
• You can work both independently and as part of a team, and have a solution-oriented mindset
• As an ambassador for our company, you are very customer-friendly, polite and helpful
• You place a high value on integrity
• You have a smart and well-groomed appearance and always present yourself in smart corporate attire
• You take care of the materials being transported and ensure the load is securely fastened • You have experience dealing with customers in a service-oriented business
• You have the relevant experience and qualifications: Category C(E) driving licence, Code 95, possibly ADR or a willingness to obtain this in the short term, and forklift truck operation
• You have a perfect command of Dutch; other languages are an advantage (French, English, German, etc.)
• You are punctual, quality-conscious and organised
• You are flexible regarding working hours and assignments, a team player and environmentally conscious
